Lloyd is a long-time member of Humanist Canada and a board member since 2014. He believes the organization plays an important role in the protection of secular and rational traditions. He has a private practice as a psychologist, is the Lead Psychologist with the Collaborative Centre for Justice and Safety at the University of Regina and has a history of being active in human rights and aboriginal organizations. He has published numerous articles in academic journals and in Humanist Perspectives. He has also advocated for individuals whose rights have been violated. He lives in Regina.
