Nicolas joined Humanist Canada in 2015 and subsequently the board in 2019. Born in Ottawa, he is the son of Chilean immigrants who came to Canada seeking a better life. He is passionate about building on the project of Canada, and leading by example to promote secular values here and abroad. He holds a Master of Arts in Public Ethics from Saint Paul University, as well as a Master’s of Naval and Maritime Sciences from the Naval Warfare Academy of Chile. Nicolas speaks Spanish and French, and he lives in Victoria, BC with his wife and young daughter.
