Forum – US Election Roundup: Is it over yet?!

Every Saturday we meet to discuss a topic decided upon the previous week. These are topics of humanist interest, from a humanist perspective.

The topic of the discussion will be decided in a prior meeting, usually two weeks in advance. This week’s topic is, “US Election Roundup: Is it over yet?!” by Richard Dowsett. Join us, won’t you?

Today we will all be able to have our say in what has gone on regarding the U.S. election over the past year, since election day, where the U.S. is now and where we believe it will end up.

– What were the surprises for you from the election results, pleasant and unpleasant?

– What are you watching out for during the remaining weeks of the Trump administration?

– What should be the priorities for President Biden & Co. in their first 100 days?

– Who are you most interested to see in the Biden Cabinet?

– Who were the big winners and big losers in this election cycle?

– With Senate Control unlikely to change hands, a serious recent swing toward the conservative side for the Supreme Court and a weakening of Democrat control of the House of Representatives, can there be a real expectation of change after inauguration day?

Meet our diverse group, trade perspectives in a free and open forum and learn from others as they learn from you!

BTW: don’t be concerned if there are not many RSVP’s. Many HAT members attend regularly but don’t sign up on Meetup. Our online meetings have been very popular with 20-30 attendees.
