Welcome to Choice Chat

Choice Chat is a podcast from the Morgentaler Committee of Humanist Canada—created to explore the personal, political, and powerful realities of abortion, human reproduction, sexual health and the rights and justice associated with these realities in Canada.

The Morgentaler Committee was formed many years ago to support abortion care providers through scholarships and advocacy. Today, it has evolved into a national voice for compassion, education, and access, championing a future where everyone can make informed choices about their bodies, free from stigma or barriers.

Our Purpose

We know these topics can be delicate, emotional, and deeply personal. Choice Chat was created to hold space for real conversations, grounded in empathy and respect.

Through expert insights, open dialogue and personal stories, we aim to:

• Provide evidence-based, accessible information.
• Encourage understanding and reduce stigma.
• Empower individuals to make informed decisions that reflect their values and lives.
• Inspire listeners to support those with a uterus to enjoy reproductive freedom and justice.

This is more than a podcast. It’s a community. A resource. And a reminder that your voice—and your choice—matters.

Why Choice Chat?

Reproductive and sexual health are part of our shared human experience. Choice Chat is here to offer clarity, compassion, and context in a time when these issues are too often misunderstood or politicized.

We reject the harmful narratives spread by “forced birthers.” Abortion is healthcare. Full stop. It is not shameful, it is not wrong, and it is not up for debate. It’s a personal decision—and a protected right—that deserves respect and support.

While abortion access remains a core focus, we also engage in conversations about comprehensive sexual education, reproductive rights, and reproductive justice, because these topics are deeply interconnected and essential to personal and societal well-being.

Choice Chat exists:
