Humanist Society Scotland
The Humanist Society Scotland was formed in 1989 in response to a rising demand for a nationwide Scottish organisation that was open to all.
We are the global representative body of the humanist movement, uniting a diversity of non-religious organisations and individuals. We want everyone to live a life of dignity in a world where universal human rights are respected and protected, and where states uphold secularism.
We started out in 1896, and since then we’ve always been a growing movement at the forefront of social change. Today we’re trusted by over 85,000 members and supporters and over 70 local and special interest affiliates to promote humanism.
